Is there any duty more sacred to a community than the education of its youth?  Is there any effort more important than preparing the next generation of leaders in business, government and the arts and sciences?  Today, I invite you to become a partner with us in this critical work. Today, you have the opportunity to become a Champion of Education…and in so doing, you will play a role in shaping the future of our community and the lives of those who live here.

For nearly three decades, the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County has partnered with the School District of Palm Beach County to ensure that our schools, teachers and students have the tools they need for success.  Already in the first three months of this academic year, the Education Foundation has distributed over $500,000 in grants to teachers who are offering innovative programs in our public schools.  Our Red Apple Supplies Store has distributed over $100,000 in school supplies to teachers in Title I schools…teachers who have had to pay for these supplies out of their own pockets.  The Education Foundation supports our School District Career Academies and spearheads creative initiatives.  But we can’t do it alone.  We need you.  We need you to become a Champion of Education.

We have included a description of the Champions of Education program, listing the levels of support and the recognition you will receive for your generous commitment.  More importantly, you will know that your tax-deductible gift is empowering the nearly 200,000 students in our public schools to see the future, embrace the future…and succeed in the future.  If you have any questions, I welcome the opportunity to discuss your participation in the Champions of Education Program at your convenience.

Together, we will prepare our youth for tomorrow.  Together…one community…with many Champions:

“It is the peculiar boast of our country that her happiness is alone dependent on the collective wisdomand virtue of her citizens and rests not on the exertions of any individual.”

George Washington                                                               First President of the United States
