Charity Navigator is the nation’s largest assessors of non-profit agencies. Each year, on August 1st, they rate charities on a scale of 1 to 4 stars, with a 4-star Rating being the highest.
I am overjoyed to announce that The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County has been awarded Charity Navigator’s highest rating…4-stars! Our overall score (on a scale of 100) was a 92.92. The letter I received from Charity Navigator this morning states:
“This is our highest possible rating and indicates that your organization adheres to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way. Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that Education Foundation of Palm Beach County exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in your area of work. This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator sets the Education Foundation apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness. Approximately only a quarter of rated charities have achieved this distinction.“
To our stakeholders, supporters and Champions of Education, I express my appreciation for your generosity that allows us to serve the schools, teachers and students in the School District of Palm Beach County. You can rest assured that your contributions are being used appropriately, efficiently and productively.
I congratulate our Board of Directors for their outstanding governance and guidance during a year of transition. I heartily commend the dedication of the hardest work staff in the non-profit world in Palm Beach County. And above all, I thank the myriad of volunteers who help us carry out our day to day operations.
4-stars….for the first time…now let’s start working on next year’s 4-star rating…
