The Education Foundation was founded and incorporated by community business leaders in 1984 to serve as the charitable organization for K-12 public education. Education and business partners formed an alliance to secure and distribute contributions for the benefit of Palm Beach County Schools.

More than 30 years later, our goals remain the same: to foster excellence in K-12 public education through focused investments of private sector resources, to promote and recognize the use of best practices that encourage student achievement, to fund innovative projects and educational materials, to recognize educators for excellence in teaching and leadership, and to serve as a central resource for private sector support for our public education system.

The Foundation invests in programs focused on closing achievement gaps, increasing graduation rates, teacher professional development and recognition programs, classroom grants, literacy improvement, STEM education and technical career initiatives, and targeted support for low-performing students and schools.
