Call for Volunteers at Red Apple Supplies, a New Free School Supply Store
WEST PALM BEACH - Red Apple Supplies continues its growth in providing Palm Beach County’s highest-needs schools with necessary supplies that keep classrooms learning. The Education Foundation announced their new service program, which allows teachers from Title 1 schools to shop for supplies and resources they need throughout the school year, long after full backpacks and supply bins have been emptied. The store’s inventory of school, office and craft supplies is donated from national corporations and local businesses and organizations.
Teachers from qualified Title I schools will be visiting Red Apple Supplies’ location for shopping dates two times a year, one per semester. Volunteers are needed to greet and help teachers with shopping, or to work with the supplies to sort, bundle and display items. Red Apple Supplies is recruiting students who need volunteer hours for school credit and adults who have a desire to further education with their volunteer time and talent. Corporate and civic groups interested in supporting the store can host supply drives or volunteer for group work days. For more information on volunteer opportunities in the store please contact the Foundation at 561-434-7303, visit EducationFoundationPBC.org or email us at Engage@educationfoundationpbc.org.
